San Diego Legion re-signed Tomas Aoake through the 2026 Major League Rugby season. The 28-year-old wing/center is 6’0” and 205 lbs.
Tomas played 1200 minutes in 15 starts for San Diego Legion and scored 11 tries, which was 4th in MLR.
Tomas started 10 matches, playing 800 minutes, and scored 4 tries for the Legion in 2022. Following the season, he played with Auckland in New Zealand’s National Provincial Championship.
He was born in Auckland, New Zealand, and attended De la Salle College. He’s played touch rugby, rugby league, and rugby union
Tomas played rugby league for the New Zealand Warriors in 2014 and 2015. He played rugby union with Stoke Rugby Club in Nelson and with East Coast Boys Rugby Club in Auckland.
He played provincial rugby with Tasman Mako in the ITM Cup, later the Mitre 10 Cup, in 2017 and 2018 before switching to North Harbour 2019-2021 in the Mitre 10 Cup, and currently the National Provincial Championship. He also played in the 2020 Red Bull Ignite7 for Surge Men. Tomas also played in preseason matches for the Blues and the Crusaders.
