The Toronto Arrows re-signed D’Shawn Bowen for the 2024 Major League Rugby season. The 27-year-old wing is 5’9″, 200 lbs.
Bowen played 638 minutes in 10 matches, starting 8, and scoring 5 tries for the Toronto Arrows in 2023. He also had 637 carry meters on 48 carries while tacking on 57 tackles, 23 defenders beaten, three linebreaks, and an offload.
Following the 2023 MLR campaign, Bowen earned a call-up to the Canadian national side for its August tour to Fiji and Tonga.
Bowen is from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and graduated from Applewood Heights Secondary School in 2014. The school is in Mississauga, Ontario where he lives. He is a graduate of the Ontario Blues provincial program and played his grassroots rugby with the Kingston Panthers (Ontario) and Westshore (British Columbia). He also played for the Pacific Pride, Rugby Canada’s National Development Academy program.
Bowen has played for the Canada Sevens team since 2021, where he made his World Rugby Sevens Series debut in Dubai and has played in 10 tournaments, and scored six tries. He also represented Canada at the 2022 editions of the Commonwealth Games and the Rugby World Cup Sevens. He also has played for Canada A.
