The Seattle Seawolves signed Divan Rossouw for the 2024 Major League Rugby season. The 27-year-old wing/ fullback (28 in March) is 6’2” and 200 lbs.
Divan was born in Windhoek, Namibia, and attended Windhoek Gymnasium. He played age-grade rugby for Namibia, playing for the U13s in Craven Week in 2009. In 2012, he played for Namibia at the U16 Grant Khomo Week finishing the week as the side’s top scorer. He then represented Namibia’s U18 side in 2014 at the Craven Week tournament.
In 2015, Rossouw moved to South Africa to join the Blue Bulls Academy and was selected for the U19 team in the Provincial Championship, making eleven appearances in U19 and then an additional two with U21.
He continued to represent the Blue Bulls squad in the 2016 Currie Cup competition and played for the U21s in the Provincial Championship. Later that year Rossouw was named in the Bulls Super Rugby team’s extended training squad.
Divan played in 39 Currie Cup matches and was named a full member of the Bulls Super Rugby team in 2018. Rossouw earned 40 Super Rugby caps and scored four tries.
Divan attended the University of Pretoria from 1016-2019, earning a Bachelor of Commerce: Honours degree in Financial Sciences.
In 2020 he moved from Pretoria to Johannesburg, to join the Lions, playing with them through 2022. He also played with the Golden Lions during that period.
Divan returned to Namibia in 2022, ahead of the World Cup, to rejoin his national team. He played in seven international test matches before playing in three of Namibia’s 2023 World Cup matches in France.
