Old Glory DC signed Scotland international Damien Hoyland for the 2024 Major League Rugby season. The 29-year-old wing/fullback is 5’10” and 200 lbs.
Damien is from Edinburgh, Scotland, and attended James Gillespies High School from 2005 through 2011. He represented Edinburgh U16s, 17s, and 18s, as well as Scotland U17s in the Youth Commonwealth Games in 2011 in the Isle of Man.
In 2013-2014, he played in 19 matches for Scotland U20s, in 11 tournaments for Scotland 7s in 2014-2016, 5 matches for Scotland between 2015 and 2022, and also played one match for Scotland A in 2022.
Damien also attended Edinburgh Napier University from 2017 through 2023, majoring in Business and Enterprise in Sport.
He played professionally for Edinburgh Rugby Club from 2014 through 2023, playing in at least 105 matches.
