NOLA Gold obtained Sam Buckley for the 2024 Major League Rugby season after a trade with the Utah Warriors. The 25-year-old tighthead prop is 6’1″ and 260 lbs.
Sam was signed by the Utah Warriors for the 2023 MLR season but did not play during the regular season.
Sam is from Northampton, England, and attended Millfield Senior School from 2015 through 2017, playing rugby on the 1st XV. He also played for the Northampton Saints Academy before enrolling at Lindenwood University in 2018 through 2022 where he pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the Robert W. Plaster College of Business and Entrepreneurship. He played rugby at the university and helped the team win a national championship.
In July 2022, he played for the Canyons at the Collegiate Rugby Shield at Zions Bank Stadium.
