According to Wales Online, Welsh international Rob Evans will play for the Miami Sharks in 2024. It was learned that his Major League Rugby contract is for two years. The 31-year-old loosehead prop is 6’1″ and 255 lbs.
Rob is from Haverfordwest, Wales, United Kingdom. He attended Spittal VC School and Sir Thomas Picton School.
He played rugby for the Carmarthen Quins from 2010 through 2014 (34 matches). He also played for the Scarlets (151 matches) from 2013 through 2022, winning the Pro12 championship in 2017. During the 2022-2023 season, he played for the Dragons (11 matches?). While with the Scarlets he won the 2017 PRO 12 Championship and the Six Nations title.
Internationally, Rob played for the Wales Under20s during the 2011-2012 season, helping the team to a third-place finish in the IRB Junior World Championship in South Africa. He made his debut for the senior men’s team against Ireland in the 2015 Six Nations, and the last of his 39 caps (Wales Cap #1118) was against England on 7 March 2020.
