Dallas Jackals Signs Ben Fry

The Dallas Jackals signed Ben Fry for the 2024 Major League Rugby season. The soon-to-be 25-year-old (end of September) flanker is 6’1″ and 231 lbs.

Ben is from Radyr, Wales, and graduated from Radyr Comprehensive School. He also went to Hartpury University and Hartpury College between 2015 and 2017, where he played rugby, majored in Sports Studies, and also being certified in Level 2 Gym instruction.

He represented Wales age-grade U16s, U18s, and U20s, the latter in the 2018 U20 World Championship in France. He played rugby with the Dragons Academy, the Dragons U23s, and club rugby with Ebbw Vale, and later with Bargoed Rugby Club in the Welsh Premiership in 2018 and 2019.

Ben made his senior debut for the Dragons in January 2018 against the Timisoara Saracens in the Rugby Challenge Cup and since then has appeared in at least 37 matches for the club.

Ben also is certified as a Level 2 Rugby Coach from the Welsh Rugby Union.

Ben joins the Dallas Jackals after playing for the Dragons in the United Rugby Championship. He had an opportunity to join the English Championship club Jersey but elected to sign with the Dallas Jackals instead.
