The Miami Sharks signed Uruguay international Felipe Etcheverry for the 2024 Major League Rugby season. The 27-year-old flyhalf/fullback is 5’9″ and 165 lbs.
Felipe was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, and played professional rugby for Peñarol from 2020 through 2023. He has 20 caps for Uruguay and played for the team in the 2019 Rugby World Cup. He will also add to his international cap total as he was named to the 2023 Rugby World Cup squad. He also played for Uruguay in the 2022 Rugby World Cup Sevens in Cape Town, South Africa.
