Dallas Jackals Adds Evan Conlon

The Dallas Jackals have acquired Evan Conlon for the 2024 Major League Rugby season from Rugby ATL (Los Angeles) in exchange for a 3rd round draft pick in the 2024 MLR Collegiate Draft. The 24-year-old scrumhalf is 5’9″ and 185 lbs.

Evan played 22 minutes in one match with Rugby ATL in 2023. He spent time during the season playing with the USA Hawks on their South American Rugby tour. After the season, he played in the Premier Rugby Sevens, like he did for the 2022 Rugbytown 7s.

Evan is from Woodlands, Texas. He attended College Park High School and played youth rugby for six years with the Woodlands Youth Rugby Club. In  2016 the team won the Junior Varsity State Championship and the following year the Varsity State title. Evan was a three-time All-State selection, as well as a High School All-American.

Evan attended Lindenwood University from 2018 through his graduation with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology in 2022. He played rugby at the university in both XVs and 7s, was selected to the USA Men’s Junior National Team in 2018, and to the USA under-23s in 2021. He was also part of the USA Rugby Specialist Academy, a virtual one. While at Lindenwood, he was a USA National Sevens Champion.

In July 2022 he played in the Collegiate Rugby Shield for the Canyons at Zions Bank Stadium and was selected by Rugby ATL in the third round of the MLR Collegiate Draft as the 35th overall selection.
