The Toronto Arrows obtained Rewita Biddle and Jordan Brown from Rugby ATL in exchange for a 2024 international player slot and salary cap considerations. Rewita, who is 25 years old, 5’11”, and 180 lbs, plays fullback and flyhalf.
Rugby ATL had signed Rewita Biddle through the 2025 Major League Rugby season. Rewita played 13 matches, starting for Rugby ATL in 2023. He scored four tries, kicked three conversions and two penalty goals, added a team-high 1,213 carry meters on 94 carries, 29 defenders beaten, 11 offloads, and had six linebreaks.
Rewita is from Opotiki, New Zealand, and attended St. Peter’s School (Cambridge). In 2019 he played for the New Zealand Sevens side at the Oktoberfest tournament in Germany. He played professionally for Slava Moscow during the 2021-2022 season, playing 320 minutes in 4 starts, scoring 2 tries and 6 penalty goals.
Rewita joined Rugby ATL after playing for Palmyra Rugby Club in Perth, Western Australia.
Rewita Biddle began playing rugby when he was five years old and since then has had several honors according to Rugby ATL: “Opotiki College 2015 Player of the Year, 2016 St. Peter’s Cambridge Top Senior and Top Male Athletics, 2018 Raro 7s Player of the Tournament, 2019 BOP Mens Premiership Competition Player of the Year, 2022 Western Australia Club Competition Top Try Scorer, 2022 Palmyra RFC Player of the Year, and 2022 Singapore 7s Player of the Tournament. Beyond all of these accomplishments, Rewita has several hobbies including traveling, camping, diving for seafood, making art and music, and various sports—especially surfing, which is what he thinks he’d be doing professionally if not for rugby.”
Toronto Arrows Comments
Rewita can comfortably slot in at fly-half, center, wing, and fullback.
Rewita and Jordan are two young, dynamic players who we’re excited to be adding to our club,” said Tim Matthews, Toronto Arrows Vice President and General Manager. “With the way we’re looking to assemble our roster in 2024 and beyond, this international duo will fit in quite well in terms of complementing our core domestic players and filling key positional needs.”
“Rewita is coming off a standout debut season in Major League Rugby and is the kind of player that gets fans out of their seats every time he touches the ball. He brings x-factor and positional flexibility to our lineup.”
