The Seattle Seawolves added Seattle Rugby Club’s Brandon Tupufiamuina for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 25-year-old lock, who is 6’6″ and 275 lbs, was a reserve in the team’s final regular season match against San Diego Legion.
Brandon was born in Illi’ili, American Samoa, and moved to Washington six and a half years ago. He attended Tafuna High School, Ascc Community College, and Highline College.
He played football and joined the Seattle Rugby Club a year ago and began playing rugby. The crossover athlete was a quick learner and within a year has played professional rugby.
