Seattle Seawolves Adds Jamie Demers

The Seattle Seawolves added Seattle Rugby Club’s Jamie Demers for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 6’4″, 245 lb. back-row/lock was a reserve in the team’s final regular season match against San Diego Legion.

Jamie went to Walled Lake Northern High School in Commerce, Michigan, and played football. He began playing rugby at the University of Michigan, where he arrived in 2015. He earned a Bachelor of Science and Engineering Degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering in 2019 and continued to earn a Master’s Degree in the same in 2020.

Jamie attended the USA U20 Camp in 2017, and the Collegiate All-American Selection Camp in 2018 and 2019. He was the University of Michigan Rugby Team’s captain in the 2018-2019 season and in Fall 2019 was a First Tea, All-Big Ten selection.

Jamie played club rugby for Detroit Rugby Club before joining Seattle Rugby Club.
