Rugby ATL signed Trevior Owens for the remainder of the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 26-year-old wing was born in Wahiawa, Hawaii, and later moved to New Zealand. He is 5’10” and an estimated 200 lbs.
Trevior attended Fielding High School and played rugby for the first XV in 2013 and in 2014 were the Senior Boys Athletic Champions. He set school records in the discus and shot put, and was the 2014 100-meter Manawatu Regional Champions. He also represented New Zealand at the 2013 World Under-18s Games. In 2013-2015 he was named the North Island and New Zealand National Athletics Top 5 Athlete.
Trevior earned s a certificate in Sports & Exercise from UCOL Te Pūkenga in 2014-2015. He has been a strength and conditioning coach at health clubs and has trained a number of bodybuilders for competition. He is an Instagram fitness model for Manscape, Eztoned, Stealth Supplements, and Zeke Skin Care NZ, as well as a current rugby athlete.
Trevior played rugby for Manawatu Central Vipers in the New Zealand Rugby League National competition from 2020 through 2022, for the Kia Ora Warriors Rugby League team in 2022, who were the Regional Cup champions, the Foxton RUFC in 2022, and the Horowhenua Kapiti in the 2022 Heartland CChampionship Rugby Union.
Trevior joins Rugby ATL after playing rugby for Associates Rugby Union Football Club in Perth, Australia in 2023.
