Old Glory DC signed Niko Jones for the remainder of the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 22-year-old flanker is 6’1″ and 227 lbs.
Niko was born in New Zealand and is the son of All Blacks flanker Michael Jones, who had 55 caps. Niko attended St. Peter’s College in Auckland and played for the first XV in rugby. After graduating in 2018, he signed a contract with the New Zealand Sevens Team, however, injuries prevented his playing.
Since 2020 he played with Auckland in the National Provincial Championship and in 2022 he played twice with the Super Rugby Moana Pacifika.
