The Toronto Arrows signed Dawson Fatoric for the remainder of the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 24-year-old center is 6’0″, 205 lbs, and joins the team from Rugby Canada’s National Men’s Sevens program.
Dawson is from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. He attended Algonquin College from 2018 through his graduation in 2020 with a Business, Management, and Marketing Degree. In 2016 he was an International Volunteer in Suva, Fiji teaching grade 4 and kindergarten, as well as building homes.
Dawson has played international rugby for Canada for the past nine months. His performance for the Canada West Selects at the inaugural Coast to Coast Cup led to his first two caps for Canada’s senior fifteens team last summer, including facing Spain in his hometown of Ottawa. He then switched his focus to rugby sevens where he made his debut at the World Rugby Sevens Series in Hamilton, New Zealand, and then scored a try the following weekend in Sydney, Australia.
He played his grassroots rugby with the Ottawa-based Bytown Blues and Barrhaven Scottish. He also played with the Pacific Pride, Rugby Canada’s National Academy program.
