The Toronto Arrows activated High-Performance Academy (HPA) athlete Brenden Black to the Senior Team squad. The 18-year-old fullback/wing is 6’2″ and 190 lbs.
Brenden is from Oakville, Ontario, and played with the Oakville Trafalgar High School Rugby team, as well as with the Oakville Crusaders.
He played for Canada’s under-18 side at the Corendon Rugby Summer Tour in the Netherlands this past July and completed his first season with the University of Guelph in the fall of 2022 where he majored in Sociology.
He has also is a graduate of the Ontario Junior Blues and Ontario Blues Junior Arrows Academy programs, and has also developed with the Canadian Misfits.
As part of the inaugural cohort of HPA athletes, Black has regularly trained with the Senior Team throughout the MLR season.
