USA Women’s Eagles Squad Named for Vancouver Sevens

The USA Women’s Sevens squad will play in the 2023 HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series Vancouver Sevens on March 3-5 at BC Place. The USA currently is in third place in the series standings with the top four earning Olympic qualification.

Head Coach Emilie Bydwell’s roster includes the 2023 core roster this year with 2020 Olympians Alev Kelter and Ariana Ramsey returning to the Sevens Series for the first time this season. Kelter returned to Chula Vista after competing in the Allianz Premiere 15s last season, leading to an appearance in the Rugby World Cup 2021 in New Zealand with the Women’s Eagles 15s. Ramsey rejoins the team following a 2022 NIRA National Championship with Dartmouth College. Jaz Gray continues to recover from an injury sustained in New Zealand.

The team will be in Pool C and opens the tournament against Brazil, before meeting Canada on March 3. They then finish pool play on March 4 against Ireland.

Matches may be viewed on Peacock.
