USA Men’s Squad for 2023 LA Sevens

The HSBC World Sevens Series Los Angles Sevens will kick off at Dignity Health Sports Park on Saturday, February 25, and be streamed LIVE on Peacock.

The USA team finds itself in Pool A, which has their first match against #3 Samoa, before facing $1 New Zealand. They then end pool play against Chile, who last played in the Series at the Vancouver Sevens in 2021.

The USA enters the tournament in 7th place, with the point differential between third and seventh being two points. Nine teams are chasing the four automatic Olympic qualification places with the other six teams in the series frantically seeking to avoid the four relegation spots. Mike Friday said that “I have never known a World Series like this in the 20-odd years it has been operating. It is nothing short of cutthroat!”

Maka Unufe will be returning to the team and will make his first appearance for the USA in 2023.
