The Dallas Jackals signed Argentinian Tomás Bekerman for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 20-year-old hooker (21 in March) is 5’11” and 230 lbs.
Tomás is attending the University of Mendoza and played club rugby with Marista Rugby Club from 2006 through 2021. He has also played with USAP Espoirs in France in 2021 and with Castres Olympique Rugby Academy in France in 2022. He also played with Aubenas-Vals in France in 2022-2023.
Tomás traveled to the United Kingdom during Summer 2014 and played Academy rugby and again in 2015 with Sedbergh School.
He also played Academy rugby in New Zealand in 2017 and 2018 with Auckland and the Highlanders, respectively. In 2019 and 2020 he played in Argentina with the Pladar Academy and also representative side rugby with Union de Rugby Cuyo U18s. In both 2019 and 2021 he was on the high-performance list for potential Argentina U20s.
