Chicago Hounds Signs Timmy Ohlwein

The Chicago Hounds signed Timmy Ohlwein for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 24-year-old loosehead prop (25 in February) is 6’2″ and 240lbs.

Timmy played 181 minutes in 6 matches for the Dallas Jackals in 2022.

Timmy is from Lindenhurst, Illinois, a northern suburb of Chicago. He attended Lake Community High School where he was a three-sport athlete in football, basketball, and baseball.

He began playing rugby at  Florida State University and joined the club team. In his sophomore year, he was selected to the Southern Independent Selects and named MVP of the squad. After spending the summer at the Alaska Mountain Rugby Grounds, he met Arkansas Stae University head Coach Jake Mizell and transferred there.
