Seattle Seawolves Signs James Kuahiwinui Jr.

The Seattle Seawolves signed James Kuahiwinui Jr., their third-round selection in the 2022 MLR Collegiate Draft, for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 22-year-old prop is 6’0″ and 260 lbs.

James has been training with the Seawolves, likely on an Associate Player contract, and is playing with Seattle Rugby Club.

James is from Pahala, Hawaii, and attended Kau High School, before moving to Spanaway, Washington, and attending Spanaway Lake High School where he graduated in 2018. He’s played rugby with Tacoma Tsunami, the Washington Wolverines State Selects side in 2018,  and the Tacoma Nomads.

He then played rugby at Iowa Central Community College from 2020 through 2022 and for the National Collegiate Rugby  All Stars Midwest Barbarians in 2022.
