The Dallas Jackals signed Hayden Hill for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 23-year-old center (24 in June) is 5’10”, 185 lbs. It is unclear if his contract is an APC one, as he is currently playing for Dallas RFC.
Hayden joined the Dallas Jackals in mid-season in 2022 from Dallas RFC. He played 137 minutes in 3 matches, starting 2, and scored 2 tries.
Hayden is from Omaha, Nebraska, and attended Omaha Central High School where he played baseball and football. He began playing rugby when he was 16 years old with Omaha United and represented Rugby Nebraska.
He moved to Colorado and played for Boulder RFC and Vail RFC. He continued his education at Grand Canyon University in 2018-2019 majoring in Emergency Management and playing with the rugby squad. He graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where he enrolled during the pandemic.
Hayden also gained some international experience by playing with Bangalow Rebels in Australia. Prior to signing, he was in his second season with Dallas RFC, competing on both the 15s and 7s side of the Division 1 club.
