The Dallas Jackals re-signed Argentinian Conrado Roura for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 26-year-old No.8 (27 in February) is 6’3″ and 225 lbs.
Conrado played 971 minutes in 13 starts and scored 4 tries for the Dallas jackals in 2022.
Conrado was signed by the Jackals for 2020, however, when the team postponed entry into the league, he played for Peñarol in the Superliga Americana.
Conrado is from Córdoba, a large city in Southern Argentina. He began playing rugby at 13 years old for Club Palermo Bajo, a first-division team of the Córdoba Rugby Union. He attended the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba from 2014-2019.
Conrado represented Argentina as a blindside flanker on Argentina’s U20 team in 2016 and helped the team to third place. His performance resulted in him being named MVP of the team. In 2017, he was selected to Argentina’s Sevens National Team, which he played through the 2020 season. He then joined Ceibos Rugby Club, the second professional rugby team in Argentina. Ceibos is in the Súper Liga Americana de Rugby.
