The New England Free Jacks signed Reece MacDonald for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 25-year-old flyhalf is 5’9″ and 183 lbs.
Reece is from Mount Maunganui, Tauranga, New Zealand, and attended Tauhara College in Taupo.
Reece played club rugby with Arataka, and Te Puna, provincial rugby with King County in 2017, and Bay of Plenty in 2018. From 2019 through 2022 he played with Gordon in the New South Wales Shute Shield. In 2022 he was the Shute Shield’s highest point scorer.
