San Diego Legion signed back-row Malakai Latu for the 2023 Major League Rugby season.
Malakai, who is of Tongan and Samoan heritage, is from Laie, Hawaii. He attended Kahuku High School and graduated in 2017.
In 2016 he played in the Pacific Cup earning second-team All-Tournament honors at lock.
He has played rugby for Hawaii Marist, attended the World Rugby Combine in 2021, and attended a USA Rugby Academy Camp.
