The American Raptors signed Sosefo Mailangi for the 2023 Super Rugby Americas season. The 24-year-old No.8 is 6’4″ and 245 lbs.
Sosefo is from Huntington Beach, California. He graduated from Edison High School in 2015 and was All-League in football as a senior. He also played rugby for Back Bay Rugby Club, and was a USA Boys High School All-American, going on tour with the U17s to France in 2015.
He played football at Saddleback College in 2017 and in 2018 and graduated with an Associate’s Degree in General Studies. From 2019 through his graduation in 2021 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts, he attended San Diego State University and played football in 2019 and 2020.
Sosefo has played rugby for the USA Rugby South Panther and joined the American Raptors in 2021.
