The Houston SaberCats re-signed Axel Zapata for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 29-year-old hooker/loosehead prop (30 in February) is 6’2″ and 270 lbs.
Alex played 76 minutes in 4 matches for the Houston SaberCats in 2022.
Alex played with the Jaguares since 2016 and played with Argentina XV in the Americas Rugby Championship. He joins the team after playing 12 matches for the Olimpia Lions from 2019 to 2021.
