Rugby New York Re-Signs Jack Heighton

Rugby New York re-signed Jack Heighton for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 23-year-old flyhalf, who has played fullback, (24 in February) is 6’2″ and 203 lbs.

Jack played 935 minutes in 14 matches, starting 11, and scored 67 points (3 tries, 14 conversions, 8 penalty goals) for Rugby New York in 2022. He then played for North Harbour in the Bunnings National Provincial Championship.

Jack is from Auckland, New Zealand, and attended Westlake Boys High School, where he either won North Harbour 1A First XV titles or made the final. He was also the captain of the team in 2016.

Jack also played age-grade rugby for the Blues while at Westlake before playing senior rugby with North Harbour in 2018 and Mitre 10 Cup in 2019 before being renamed the National Provincial Championship where he played in 2020 and 2021. He also played with the Blues in 2020.

Jack also played club rugby with Takapuna.
