New England Free Jacks Signs Ivan Pula

The New England Free Jacks signed Ivan Pula, their third-round selection in the 2022 MLR Collegiate draft, for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 25-year-old tighthead prop is 6’1″ and 270 lbs.

Ivan is from Yelm, Washington. He attended Yelm High School, winning the West Athletic Award, and played rugby for the Budd Bay Barbarians. He was honored as a 2017 High School All-American.

After graduating from high school, he attended South Puget Sound Community College before transferring to Central Washington University in 2018. He earned a JD in Law in 2022. Ivan was an impressive scrummager while playing rugby at CWU and was the team’s captain for the 2021-2022 season. He also played for the USA Selects in the 2021 Americas Pacific Challenge in Uruguay.
