NOLA Gold Signs Sean Paranihi

NOLA Gold signed Sean Paranhi through the 2024 Major League Rugby season. The 26-year-old tighthead prop is 5’11” and 255 lbs.

Sean is from New Zealand. He attended Feilding High School from 2010 to 2012, playing on the rugby 1st XV in 2011. He then transferred to Tu Toa and attended from 2012 to 2014, playing on their 1st XV. His final year in high school was spent in Auckland at St Kentigern College.

After high school he played with the Canterbury wider training squad before advancing to the senior squad.

In 2016 he played 5 matches with Counties Manukau, as well as for the New Zealand Under20s at the Junior World Championship, before playing with the Manawatu Turbos in 2017 and 2018.

Sean played with the Māori All Blacks in 2017 and again in 2019.

He has played rugby for the Feilding Old Boys Oriya, Sumner, and recently for Linwood Rugby Club where he was honored as The Brewer Trophy Open Grade Front Rower MVP in 2021.

Sean joins NOLA Gold for the 2023 after playing in the 2022 Bunnings NPC with Manawatu, where he has made over 30 appearances.
