The Utah Warriors re-signed Coleson Warner for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 24-year-old fullback/flyhalf (25 in June) is 5’10” and 170 lbs.
Coleson played 27 minutes in 3 matches for the Utah Warriors in 2022.
Coleson is from Pocatello, Idaho, and attended Highland High School. He attended Lindenwood-Belleville University and helped the team win the USA Rugby Collegiate 7s I-AA 2019 National Championship, while also being named MVP.
He then transferred to Lindenwood University, earning a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management. He was a 2019 Collegiate All-American 7s (2nd Team) selection and played on the 2021 USA Under-23 Sevens team, which played at the RugbyTown Sevens. He also helped Lindenwood win the 2021 Collegiate Rugby Championship.
Coleson played for Pathway 404 during the Fall of 2021 and also played for The Team in the inaugural professional sevens league, Premier Rugby Sevens on October 9, 2021, in Memphis, Tennessee. He joined the USA National Team Sevens Program in 2022.
