The Utah Warriors re-signed Bailey Wilson for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 22-year-old flanker (23 in December) is 6’3″ and 220 lbs.
Bailey played 1230 minutes in 16 matches, starting 15, scoring one try, and continued as the team’s captain in 2022.
He was the captain of the Utah Warriors in 2021, playing 1187 minutes in 16 starts, and scoring 3 tries. In 2020 he started all five matches as a blindside flanker, playing 400 minutes, and played with the Warrior Selects during the Fall.
Bailey is from Sydney, Australia, and attended Lone Peak High School, where he graduated in 2018. He played rugby for United Rugby Club and while playing there earned USA High School All-American honors. He was an All-State captain and played for Utah Youth All-Stars in the 2015 Rocky Mountain Challenge.
Bailey also captained the USA U19s in the Rising Junior All-American Winter Camp and the USA U20s against Canada in 2019. Since graduating high school, he has played with Utah Valley University.
Bailey is U.S. eligible for the Senior Men’s National team as a result of his residency. He played for the USA Selects against Uruguay A during the Americas Pacific Challenge in the Fall of 2021.
