Dallas Jackals Signs Tomas Baravalle

The Dallas Jackals signed Tomas Baravalle for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 31-year-old hooker (32 in December) is 6’0″ and 225 lbs. He has passports from Argentina and Italy.

Tomas was born in Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of the Latin American Educational Center where he attended from 2011 through 2017.

Tomas played youth and senior rugby for Jockey Club in Rosario, Argentina. he also played for San Gregorio Catania, and Pakuranga United.

His national team experience includes playing with Argentina Under-20s in 2010, Argentina in his debut from the bench on May 25, 2011, against Uruguay at Posadas. He played for Argentina XV in 2014-2015, the Argentina Jaguars in 2015, and also for Argentina Jaguares.

From 2017 through 2022 he played in at least 61 matches for Benetton Treviso in the Pro 14/ United Rugby Championship. He also played for the team in the Champions Cup, Challenge Cup, and Rainbow Cup.
