The New England Free Jacks will have Milleniam ‘Mills’ Sanerivi back for the second year of his contract for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 23-year-old hooker is 5’11” and 250lbs.
Mills played 614 minutes in 17 matches, starting 6, and scored 4 tries for the Free Jacks in 2022. He then played with Taranaki in the National Provincial Championship in New Zealand.
Mills is from Mangere, New Zealand. He began playing rugby with the Manukau Magpies and the Mangere East Hawks. He attended King’s College, Auckland, and in 2018 was the rugby team’s 1st XV captain, playing with Free jacks Joe Johnston.
In 2019, Mills was the captain of the U19s Taranaki Squad, which won the Sir Michael Jones Trophy at the Jock Hobbs Tournament. He also represented the Taranaki U20s, as well as the Taranaki Development squad in 2020.
In 2021 he made his debut for Taranaki in the Bunnings National Provincial Championship and was selected to the New Zealand Barbarians, a 36-24 win against the New Zealand Heartland XV.
