Toronto Arrows Re-Signs Cole Brown

The Toronto Arrows re-signed Cole Brown for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 22-year-old scrumhalf (23 in February) is 5’11” and 190lbs.

Cole played 70 minutes in one match for the Arrows in 2022 and scored one try. Foot injuries were an issue impacting playing time and with his recovery, he hopes to contribute more in 2023.

Cole was one of two members of the inaugural class of Arrows Senior Academy athletes from 2020 to feature for the senior team in 2022, joining fellow Academy graduate Mitch Voralek in earning MLR game time.

Cole is from Pickering, Ontario, Canada, and played for the Ajax Wanderers, is a graduate of the Ontario Blues Junior men’s provincial program, and is enrolled at McMaster University since 2018. He plays rugby for the Marauders and was named an Ontario University Athletics East Division All-Star following the 2021 post-secondary season.

He represented Canada on the national under-20 side’s tour to Portugal in 2020 and later participated in Rugby Canada’s under-20 camp in 2021. He is a graduate of the Senior Arrows Academy, and in October 2021 featured for the Arrows XV at the Rugby Rally, helping the team gain a 57-10 victory over the Atlantic Selects.
