Old Glory DC Re-Signs John LeFevre

Old Glory DC re-signed John LeFevre for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 24-year-old scrumhalf/flyhalf (25 in May) is 5’9″ and 180 lbs.

John played in 5 matches for Old Glory in 2022, was the starting flyhalf for Young Glory Under 23s, and played with the USA Falcons squad in Montevideo. He had the opportunity to train with the Glasgow Warriors this Fall, however, went instead to Chula Vista to train with the U.S. Men’s Sevens Team.

John is from Lorton, Virginia, and attended South County High School. He wrestled for three years and played rugby with South County Youth/West End Rugby. The team advanced to the Rugby Virginia Final three times, winning in 2015 and the National Tier II Championship in 2016.

John attended Old Dominion University from 2016 to 2020, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Cyber Security and playing with the rugby team. After graduation, he also played with NOVA Rugby at the USA Club Sevens Nationals and rugby XVs.

In the Summer of 2021, he attended the USA U23 Pathway Camp, a 9-week camp at Glendale, Colorado, and played in the XV Series this Fall for the USA U23 Rugby Academy.

John played for Old Glory U23s against the Connecticut U23s in December, 2021and in 2022.
