The New England Free Jacks signed Kiwi prop Joel Hintz for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 26-year-old is 5’10” and 235 lbs.
Joel is from Wairarapa, New Zealand. He attended St Patrick’s College and then Lincoln University from 2015 to 2017 in a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Agriculture) program.
Joel played his senior rugby with Canterbury in 2017, Wellington in 2018, and since 2019 has made at least 38 appearances for Hawke’s Bay in the National Provincial Championship.
He now joins the Free Jacks for 2022.
