The Utah Warriors re-signed Tomasi Tonga for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 24-year-old center is 6’0″ and 230 lbs.
Tomasi played 380 minutes in 9 matches, starting 6, scoring 2 tries, and had 468 meters on 47 carries, 38 tackles, and four forced turnovers on the season. for the Utah Warriors in the 2022 season. He previously played for the Utah Selects, a development team for Utah’s MLR side.
Tomasi is from Kaaawa, Hawaii, and lives in Herriman, Utah. He attended Herriman High School and was a USA Under-17 and Under-18 All-American. This Fall his performance for the Utah Selects, earned him a call-up to the MLR Utah Warriors for 2022. He also has played locally for the Utah Saints, a Men’s Club Rugby team.
