The Utah Warriors re-signed Zion Going for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 21-year-old scrumhalf (22 in April) is the grandson of the legendary New Zealand All Blacks scrumhalf, Sid Going.
Zion played 275 minutes in 7 matches, starting 4, during the 2022 MLR season. He also made 190 passes (88.37%).
Zion is from Whangarei, Northland, New Zealand, and is U.S. eligible. He played for Mid Northern Rugby Club in Hukerenui and for the Northland Under-21s in 2021. He joins the Utah Warriors after playing in Brisbane, Australia for the Tuggeranong Vikings.
