The New England Free Jacks will have Canadian international Foster Dewitt returning for the second year of a three-year contract which takes him through the 2024 Major League Rugby season. The 26-year-old hooker/loosehead prop (27 in May) is 6’1″ and 235 lbs.
Foster played 587 minutes in 11 matches, starting 6, and scored one try for the Free Jacks in 2022.
Foster was born. in Courtenay, British Columbia, Canada, and attended G.P Vanier Secondary and played rugby with the Comox Valley Kickers. He attended The University of British Columbia where he represented the Thunderbirds from 2014-2016. Then he played for Westshore RFC in Victoria before joining the Rugby Canada National Development Academy, the Pacific Pride in 2020.
In 2021 Foster was selected to Canada’s 32-man squad, touring the UK in July against Wales and England, but did not play. He finally made his debut against Belgium on 13 November.
