Old Glory DC Signs Lautaro Bavaro

Old Glory DC signed Argentina international Lautaro Bavaro for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 28-year-old flanker (29 in April) is 6’1″ and 225 lbs.

Lautaro is from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and attended the Catholic University of Uruguay.

He has played for Hindú Club in the URBA since 2012 appearing in around 160 matches, mainly as a starter. He was the captain of the Argentina XV in the Americas Rugby Championship, playing from 2016 through 2019. He was capped twice for the Pumas (#827) where he made his debut as a starter against Uruguay at Colonia del Sacramento on 28 May 2016. His other test start was against Chile in Santiago on 4 June 2016.

Lautaro also played with the Jaguares XV in the Currie Cup First Division and in the Super Liga de Americano, He also played for Ceibos in the latter competition the first year in 2019.
