Dallas Jackals Signs Darrick Marik

The Dallas Jackals signed Darrick Marik as a Development Player. The Grand Prairie Mavericks scrumhalf is 28-years-old, 5’8”, and 185lbs. He is originally from Seattle, and attended Edmunds-Woodway High School and Lynnwood High School before enrolling at Community College of the Air Force where he graduated in 2017 with an A.A.S. In Information Technology.

Marik graduated from Air Force Basic Training with the 326th Training Squadron in March 2014 at Joint Base San Antonio – Lackland, Texas and started playing rugby while stationed with the Air Force in Germany. He competed with HoneyBadger RFC in 2019 and won the league championship.

He briefly trained and competed in Sevens tournaments with Bury St. Edmunds RUFC out of England before returning to Texas and joining local D1 Affiliate Grand Prairie Mavericks in 2021, where he has competed ever since.

He looks forward to training in a professional rugby environment and hopes to be able to contribute to the team.
