Dallas Jackals Appear to have added Veramu Dikidikalati

The Dallas Jackals appear to have added Veramu Dikidikalati for the remainder of the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The 25-year-old wing/center who is 6’0″ and 240 lbs. was seen practicing with the Jackals.

Veramu contributed significantly to the Houston SaberCats during the 2021 Major League Rugby season. He played 971 minutes in 13 matches, starting 12, and scoring 4 tries. He then trialed with the Fijian Drua after the 2021 MLR season.

Veramu is from Lomai, Naitasiri, Fiji. He played Kaji Rugby, the Fiji Primary Schools Rugby Union district competition before entering Lelean Memorial School, and played in the Dean’s Trophy competition for Nasinu Secondary School. In 2016 he played for Namosi U20s before joining the Wardens, and then the Namosi Senior team.

In 2016 and 2017 he was named to the Fiji U20s for the Oceania Rugby U20 Trophy competition. In 2017/18 and 2018/19, he played in the World Rugby Pacific Challenge starting three matches each year and scoring seven tries. In 2018 and 2019 he played for Fiji Airways Drrua in the Australian National Rugby Championship and the Swire Shipping Fijian Warriors.

In 2020 he played in the Skipper Cup for Naitasiri. He was also named to the Fijian Latui extended training squad for Global Rapid Rugby.
