LA Giltinis Players and Staff Interviews

The Los Angeles Giltinis won the 2022 Champagne Cup against Rugby New York on April 10 at the LA Memorial Coliseum.

The organization has created an entertainment atmosphere at a historic downtown Los Angeles venue. They brought in a former USC graduate, singer, and actress to sing the National Anthem and another celebrity to shoot an imaginary arrow to light the Olympic torch. The scoreboard animation, which included Giltinis players, was also appealing.

Fans could get a Gillies Beer, see the team’s Academy team win 24-12 against the American Raptors, and witness a USC rugby exhibition against UCLA at the featured MLR match.

In covering the match, I had the opportunity to interview Giltinis Head of Rugby Development, Kevin Battle, as well as players, Luke White and Billy Meakes.

I hope that you enjoy the interviews and get to know these men better.
