New England Free Jacks Adds Ethan Fryer

The New England Free Jacks added Ethan Fryer for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The 20-year-old flanker (21 in May) is 6’2″ and 210 lbs.

Ethan is from Issaquah, Washington, but has dual U.S. and Canadian citizenship as his father is from Ontario and grew up in Newfoundland.

Ethan attended Issaquah High School and played rugby for the Eastside Lions, NAAS RFC, and helped the Washington Loggers win the 2019 Vancouver Sevens in 2019.

He played for the USA Stripes against the USA Stars in 2019 and the 2019 Boys High School All-Americans U18s Can-Am Series. He also played for the Canada U20s Trophy squad for a two-match exhibition series in Portugal, joined the Pacific Pride, Canada’s Development team for 2020-2021, and played in the Coastal Cup in 2021.

Ethan played for the New England Independents against the Toronto Arrows Senior Academy side on March 18, 2022.
