Rugby New York Adds Two to MLR 50th Match Club

When Rugby New York’s Dylan Fawsitt and Sam Windsor play in their next game, the pair will join  Utah Warriors Angus MacLellan and Seattle Seawolves Tim Metcher, as players who have played 50 Major League Rugby matches.

Last Sunday, Rugby New York beat San Diego Legion after Jack Heighton slotted a penalty goal from near midfield for a 26-23 victory. This week the team turns its attention to NOLA Gold, who they play on Saturday, March 19 at the Gold Mine in New Orleans. They then return to JFK Stadium in Hoboken, New Jersey for a March 27 match against the Toronto Arrows.

Both Dylan and Sam will reach the 50th MLR match milestone shortly. More important is that the team keep pace with both Rugby ATL and the New England Free Jacks, who are in a very close race to top the Eastern Conference.

DJCoil Rugby Interviews

During the 2022 MLR season, interviews of players, staff, and some surprise guests are planned at each Rugby New York match, as well as in Los Angeles, when the team plays the Giltinis in April.

These interviews appear on the DJCoil Rugby YouTube Channel and are linked on the webpage. Posts are also promoted on Twitter, Instagram, and the Doug Coil Linkedin.com page.

Who do you want to see interviewed? What questions would you like to be asked? Interviews do not deal with the match that day.
