Utah Warriors Signs Taris Schramm

The Utah Warriors signed Taris Schramm for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The 27-year-old flanker is 6’0″ and 230 lbs.

Taris is from Payson, Utah, and attended Payson High School where he played football as a tight end and on the defensive line. He played rugby at Dixie State University and helped the team win the Rocky Mountain Championship over Utah Valley University. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Communications.

Taris played for the Utah Selects in Fall 2021 and his performance led to a call-up to the MLR Utah Warriors for 2022.

Utah Warriors Comments

“Taris was a great player for us when he was with the Selects,” remarked Kilifi. “I think he really impressed the coaches with his toughness and skills in those few matches last fall. He’s a guy that will do whatever is asked of him and is dedicated to being a good rugby player.”
