Old Glory DC Signs Jack Russell

Old Glory DC signed Jack Russell for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The 24-year-old wing is 6’1″ and 210lbs.

He is from St Charles, Illinois, and graduated from St. Charles East High School in 2016. He played lacrosse and football and was All-Area in football as a defensive end, and All-Conference in lacrosse.

He attended the University of Wisconsin from 2016-to 2020, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies. After playing three semesters of lacrosse, he switched to rugby in the Spring of his sophomore year.

In October 2022 he moved to the area to train with Old Glory Academy and played three matches with Northern Virginia RFC (NOVA), as well as for Young Glory in December against the Connecticut U23s.

Lat Friday, he played in the team’s first preseason match against the Toronto Arrows.
