Tropical Sevens Patners with Next Phase Rugby

Tropical Sevens Release

Next Phase Rugby announced as the official college recruitment partner for 2022 Tropical 7s.

Next Phase Rugby is an online platform that connects college rugby programs with high school rugby players. The app launched in May, and has quickly become the largest online rugby recruiting platform in the country, with hundreds of high school players from the USA and abroad. The college database includes hundreds of men’s and women’s teams across all collegiate divisions.

TROPICAL 7s has established itself as one of the world’s leading youth rugby 7s tournaments, bringing school and university age teams from around the world together for a once-in-a-lifetime rugby tour experience under the warm Florida sunshine. Through the partnership, Tropical 7s will encourage their high school player registrants and collegiate programs to establish free profiles on the Next Phase Rugby platform. Next Phase Rugby will provide a discount to Tropical 7s attendees that choose to upgrade to a premium membership.

John Siner, Tropical 7s Executive Director, said: “Next Phase Rugby is doing some really good things for the sport of rugby. Being able to connect youth athletes with opportunities to navigate their rugby future, including playing in college, is a huge benefit to everyone. We are happy to partner with Next Phase Rugby and help get the word out about their services. Everyone at the Tropical 7s will be able to interact with Next Phase Rugby.”

Greg Stelluti, Next Phase Rugby President, added: “Tropical 7sis one of the premier youth rugby 7s tournaments in the world. They not only provide a once-in-a-lifetime rugby experience, but a fantastic opportunity for high school players to be noticed through their Talent ID Programme and Athlete Combine. That goal is perfectly aligned with the mission of Next Phase Rugby. We want to provide more opportunities for high school athletes to further their education and to play collegiate rugby.”
