Old Glory DC re-signed Dante Lopresti for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The 24-year-old prop/hooker (25 in May) is 5’11”, 255 lbs. and is from Hyattsville, Maryland.
Dante played 261 minutes in 12 matches, starting once, in 2021.
Dante played 136 minutes in four matches, starting twice, for Old Glory DC during their inaugural MLR Covid-19 shortened 2020 season. In 2019 he also played in four matches during the team’s exhibition season.
He was a captain at Gonzaga College High School in Washington, DC. In 2016 he was a US Rugby Foundation Kevin Higgins Scholarship recipient and went on to play at Notre Dame College in South Euclid, Ohio. Dante recently spent time with the Capital Selects and the Potomac Exiles Rugby Club. He played with Old Glory during the 2019 exhibition season.
